DBK LS-2208 Dual 8-inch Line Array Speaker: Professional Sound, Unmatched Versatility

The LS-2208 is a medium-sized, 2-way linear array system built on a foundation of superior acoustic engineering. Its core strength lies in a powerful low-frequency section featuring two high-power, long-throw 8-inch woofers with dual voice coils. This innovative dual 8-inch configuration is engineered to surpass the power handling and acoustic output of many conventional 10-inch units, delivering punchy, well-defined bass with exceptional control. Each woofer is equipped with a phase plug, enhancing midrange directivity and sensitivity for a more articulate sound.

For crystal-clear highs, the system employs two robust 34mm compression drivers. The high-frequency section utilizes a plane wave converter combined with an exponential constant directivity horn. This advanced technology produces a coherent wavefront, ensuring consistent tonal quality and precise control across the entire listening area. The system offers a wide 110° horizontal and a tight 10° vertical coverage pattern, allowing you to focus sound energy exactly where it's needed, minimizing unwanted reflections and maximizing audience coverage.

Built to handle demanding environments, the LS-2208 boasts impressive specifications. The low-frequency section handles 2x300W RMS (1200W PEAK), while the high-frequency section manages 2x60W RMS (240W PEAK), providing ample headroom for dynamic performances. With a sensitivity of 100 dB for LF and 108 dB for HF, it efficiently converts amplifier power into high output. This results in a commanding maximum sound pressure level of 128 dB for LF and 129 dB for HF, ensuring your sound remains powerful and intelligible even at a distance.

Durability and functionality are at the forefront of the LS-2208's design. Its trapezoidal cabinet is constructed from premium 15mm Baltic birch plywood, finished with a durable, wear-resistant, and waterproof textured paint, making it resilient for touring and outdoor use. The cabinet design ensures precise alignment when multiple units are arrayed, minimizing gaps for optimal acoustic coupling.

The integrated, high-strength steel flying hardware features a 7:1 safety factor, allowing secure rigging of up to 16 enclosures. Each cabinet offers a 0-7.5° adjustable splay angle (in 1° increments), enabling precise vertical coverage tailoring. For versatile connectivity, it is equipped with two NL8 connectors, clearly designated for independent LF and HF input. Integrated, flush-mounted handles on both sides make transportation and handling remarkably easy, while a protective steel mesh grille safeguards the speaker units.

For a truly full-range sound experience, the LS-2208 is designed to perfectly integrate with the DBK LS-18 single 18-inch subwoofer. Together, they create a cohesive system that delivers deep, powerful low-frequency extension, elastic and punchy mids, and brilliantly clear, detailed highs—perfect for music reproduction and demanding speech applications.
